Lady Frere participates in Youth Skill Development Programme

Vodacom Cisco_april12 April 2013 - Ntuthuzelo Lahliwe and Jabu Matiwane were selected to participate in the Cisco instructor training at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) that commenced on 5 April.  Proud certified instructors of the Vodacom Cisco MICT Seta partnership     Proud certified instructors of the Vodacom Cisco MICT Seta partnership12 April 2013 - Ntuthuzelo Lahliwe and Jabu Matiwane were selected to participate in the Cisco instructor training at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) that commenced on 5 April. After completing the training they in turn will be training 15 ICT entrepreneurs in the Lady Frere Vodacom ICT Resource Centre.

This is part of the youth development programme that Vodacom runs through its Mobile Education Programme in partnership with Cisco and MICT Seta. The partnership aims to train unemployed youth in ICT skills and to further develop them into ICT entrepreneurs.

The instructors and budding ICT entrepreneurs will get to work from the Lady Frere ICT Resource Centre as soon as all the arrangements between Vodacom and the MICT Seta are finalised.
