About the Centre

Alberton Teacher Development Centre forms part of the Ekurhuleni South District, which again forms part of the Gauteng Department of Education. It is housed in a building previously used as a lower primary school, and then later, as a District Office before it became the Teacher Centre.

Eight rooms have been converted into training venues. There is a computer room that can accommodate 30 people and a hall that can accommodate 300 visitors. All venues are equipped with projectors white boards and flip chart stands.

We service all schools in Thokoza, Katlehong, Vosloorus, Alberton, Boksburg and Germiston

The following audio visual equipment can be borrowed from the Centre:

  • Projectors
  • Video cameras
