New trainers in Upington ICT Resource Centre4 June 2013- The Upington ICT Resource Centre welcomes our new trainers Alastair Rabie and Deidre-Ann Nicola Jansen, both graduates of the Cisco IT Essentials and Instructor Training.

Alastair Rabie .....

My name is Alastair Rabie. I was born and raised in Upington.
I built my first computer at the age of 11 and thereafter I was hooked on learning more about computers. I eventually studied Systems Analysis and Design, specializing in Java and COBOL, at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). Recently, I got the opportunity from Vodacom to do the CISCO - IT Essentials course in PE and then started working at the Vodacom ICT Resource Centre Upington. The centre has changed the lives of many people here in Upington and I am very honoured to be part of this project.

Deidre-Ann......
I am Deidre-Ann Nicola Jansen. I was born on 27 March 1988 and raised in Upington. I started my school career at Revierbank (crèche), Grade 1 to Grade 3 at Fanie Malan, Grade 4 to Grade 7 at Op Die Voorpos Primary School and Grade 8 to Grade 12 at Upington High School. I matriculated in 2006 at Upington High School. In 2007 I was a student at CTU (Computer Training University) Bloemfontein, were I did my certificate in Database Administration and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) Certification. I graduated at CTU Bloemfontein in 2007. I started my practical experience at URB (Upington Rekenaar Buro) in 2008 and since I have been enjoying and exploring in the IT technical field. I enjoy challenges and this is one of the reasons I like repairing computers. I like to help people and teach them new things about computers.
