About the centre

Glory Hill Education Development Centre is one of three centres in Bohlabela District. It occupies the buildings of the former Glory Hill Primary School in Graskop.

The centre was established with the aim of providing ongoing professional teacher development to two circuits; namely, Mashishing and Sabie with 42 schools, but it can only service 24 schools from Sabie circuit due to accessibility.

The centre has two Computer Rooms that can accommodate 22 and 18 participants respectively. It also has two mobile classrooms that are used as training venues. The venues are equipped with flipchart stands, projectors, mobile and pull down screens.

The centre is used for:

  • Meetings for teachers, officials and other stakeholders
  • Workshops for:
    • CAPS and ANA
    • Curriculum management
    • 1+ 4 Mathematics teaching model
    • CPTD sign-up.
  • Computer training( teachers, learners and out of school youth)
  • ICT integration into teaching and learning(SASAMS, APTIS Test, Internet, Social Networks)

Opening hours

The centre operates from 07h45 to 16h15 from Monday to Friday. The centre is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays unless prior arrangements are made
